Job Title: First and Second Grade Team Teacher

Starting Salary: $48,000 (with additional incentives for advanced degrees and 10+ years of teaching experience)

Job Overview

We are seeking two dedicated, faith-driven First and Second Grade Team Teachers to join our close-knit school community. These teachers will collaborate as a team to teach either Language Arts and Social Studies or Math and Science to first and second grade students. This unique approach allows teachers to focus on their subject specialty while ensuring students receive individualized attention and differentiated instruction in a supportive, Christ-centered environment.

The ideal candidates are passionate about nurturing young learners’ spiritual, academic, and personal development. They should be comfortable working in a station-style classroom setting that offers opportunities for remediation and acceleration based on each student’s needs. Teachers will also assist with remedial classes and actively participate in planning field trips, student initiatives, and after-school clubs.

Key Responsibilities
    •    Specialized Teaching: Teach either Language Arts and Social Studies or Math and Science to first and second grade students.
    •    Differentiated Instruction: Design and deliver lessons that cater to students’ varying academic levels, utilizing a station-style classroom model.
    •    Remedial Support: Provide additional instruction for students who need extra help, as well as opportunities for academic acceleration.
    •    Collaboration: Work closely with the other first and second grade teacher to ensure continuity and alignment across subjects.
    •    Classroom Environment: Create a nurturing, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere rooted in Christian values.
    •    Community Engagement: Plan and lead field trips, contribute to student initiatives, and participate in weekly after-school clubs.
    •    Communication: Regularly update parents on student progress and collaborate on strategies for student success.
    •    Professional Development: Actively participate in school events, training sessions, and collaborative team planning.

What We’re Looking For

Professional Qualifications:
    •    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s or higher preferred)
    •    Certification: Valid state teaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
    •    Experience: Prior experience teaching lower elementary grades (preferred)
