Job Overview:


As a Mathematics Teacher at our school, you'll have the opportunity to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment for students in grades 1 through 5. With small class sizes limited to 12 students per grade, you'll have the unique opportunity to address individual learning needs and foster a love for mathematics among our diverse student body.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with or exceed state standards while integrating Christian principles and values when possible. 
  • Teach mathematics to students in grades 1-5, providing differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Assess student learning regularly using a variety of methods and communicate progress to parents and guardians.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that models Christian values and promotes student engagement and critical thinking.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching license/certification.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in mathematics education.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and best practices in teaching mathematics.
  • Familiarity with Florida state standards and willingness to integrate them into lesson planning.


Benefits:

In addition to a competitive starting salary of $48,000, our school offers salary incentives for master's degree holders and additional incentives for those with 10+ years of experience in education.
